Wuhan College was established in 2003 and under the administration of Hubei Provincial Department of Education.

Wuhan College offers undergraduate programs to students nationwide and abroad. It holds approximately 13,000 students on campus studying in 33 majors. There are 8 schools and 1 department with disciplines in science, engineering, humanities, law, art, economics, management and sport education. The campus is full of architectural beauty. It features the artistic beauty of ecological landscape design. The stunning natural scenery complements the intellectual spirit of the university.

For the purpose of non-profit education, Mr. Chen Yidan, the founder of Wuhan College, contributed more than 2 billion RMB into the construction of a new school campus located in the area of Huangjiahu lakeside.

Oriented by the concept of applied, featured and internationalized university, Wuhan college, with the motto“Virtue. Innovation. Truth. Action. (V. I. T. A.)”, takes social responsibility of cultivating applied talents of high qualities for the needs of economic and social development, is on the way to develop and expand its distinguishing features.

Wuhan college is committed to whole-person development education, and promotes coordinated interdisciplinary development. It sticks to the talent training mode of integration of enterprises with universities and cooperation worldwide. There have been education cooperations between Wuhan College and well-known enterprises as Tencent Group, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and JD.com, Inc. Etc. Cooperated with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Wuhan College initiates Accounting (ACA Class), Financial Management (CIMA Class), which lays a sound foundation for their high level employments in career.

Wuhan College puts great emphasis on international education on the basis of cross-cultural philosophy. It has developed extensive cooperation in mutual-visiting scholars, academic interchange of faculty and students, joint-education programs, and academic research programs with prestigious universities throughout the world, for instance, University of Cambridge, University of Reading, The University of Newcastle(UK), University of Stellenbosch, etc. To serve and follow national strategy on international education, Wuhan College launched programs recruiting foreign students over the world, especially students from the countries along “the Belt and Road”.
